First and foremost I did a search on this already, I'm trying to get specific part numbers.

I called Johnny at polybushings.com and he wasn't sure exactly which mounts I needed [71 Dart 225 w/ 904]. According to this page it's left side only for my car(???):
http://www.polybushings.com/pages/2469.html
He also said these might work but he wasn't sure as they're listed for a different year:
http://polybushings.com/pages/2303-4.html

He said he didn't think he makes the tranny mount I need. From searching on the forum I found this site, but again I'm not sure exactly which mount I need for my year + 904 transmission:
http://www.engine-swaps.com/Pages/Produ ... ounts.html
Is it part# TMES?
The stock replacement rubber tranny mount for my car is Anchor 2525, which as you can see from the link below looks much more similar to part# TMBT but that has different year listed (73 and up A-body):

In an effort to find a poly motor mount for the right side of the slant 6 for '67-'72 A-bodies I sent Johnny one off rockauto.com (cheap $4 one). In the pics the mount on the left is the one I sent him, the one on the right is his. The one he's comparing it to looks to be part #2304 as shown here:
http://polybushings.com/pages/2303-4.html
As you can see that's 1 of the mounts for the '62-'66 A-body slant six.

Please take a look at these pics and tell me what you think. Does anyone know if there will be clearance issues when mounted on the car? As you can see from this first pic Johnny's mount is a bit thicker on the right side of the stud, and the corners on the right are 'cut off'.

I don't see why it wouldn't, I don't remember there being a reason for the mitered corners on the mount in my '67, there was plenty of room for a full "block" when I mounted "new" (rockauto) mounts in it.

It looks like the corners need to be 'cut off' especially for the side with the fuel pump...clearance...

Sounds like a job for Mr. Angle Grinder and a cut off wheel...

why would they say "Left side"? Instead of Drivers side or Passengers side?

Why are the torsion bars marked L and R after the last 3 digits of the part number? (instead of D and P).

...and why do we drive on the parkway, but park in the drive way?

Anyway, is it just me or are poly bushings a big racket? I'm not suggesting they don't provide improvements, but the cost is outrageous vs rubber, when polyurethane and similar polymers have been around for many decades...the materials are cheap as dirt...

I don't think it* is a "Racket" for Slant 6 parts, and compared to the POS rubber motor mounts that are available, it's a no brainer for me.
Johnny at PolyBushings.com is a Good Guy and I would rather give him my money!

Good ol' American capitalism - charge what the traffic will bear! If nobody bought 'em at the current high prices, they'd be cheaper pretty darn quick. That said, I do like the mounts with the interlocking plates
even though there's not a torque monster in my stable. Also, I'll spend a bit more with folks that others give high marks for service and communication.

I disagree. He would probably stop making them. If you cannot make a reasonable profit, why bother making them. If more were sold (slant six is a small market), the price might come down, as the cost per unit might be less.

Being that we are a small market (I doubt there are any more total classic mopars on the streets today than there were A-bodies in the 1974 model year), compared to the import market... it is nice that we can get these at all...
Considering the outlay of money and time to manufacture these, it's not
something a big company is going to do, also luckily Johnny is in a location
that he can work out of his garage/shop, I would doubt that with the threat
of neighbors calling in EPA/DEQ/OSHA/Code Authority the price would go up for people doing this in other locations having to rent industrial space and get permits.
