Those kind of prices are beyond reasonable for the work involved!

I was kind of curious though, do you have any concerns about fuel puddling and atomization? I know that wet manifolds benefit most for a semi-rough surface to help keep the fuel from seperating from the incoming charge... Obviously with the exception of a full race engine that will see more WOT than anything else.

They are perfect for EFI or forced induction though!

Lotsa man hrs in one for sure! I will probably hand sand some grainy finish on the inside pieces when i prep for welding..some 40-60 grain "scratches" perpendicular to flow direction should help some..

There is a good reason for the heat box connected to the exhaust manifold! :lol:

Are you manufacturing strictly for use with headers or modified ex.manifolds with max separation from the heat source, or do you intend to bolt it to the ex. manifold á la the stock setup?

These are not at all intended for a stocker.or even mild combos..id consider these full race units based on their specs..id suggest adequate compression and cams in the 230-260*@.050" range...but i wouldnt be against running one on a mild 225 here in arizona where atomization is a non issue.

Hell like I said, they would be perfect for multi-port EFI or boost as well. Im sure tuning would be as simple as increasing or decreasing runner size and length to suite mild to wild aplications. Once I get a couple of my current projects done I plan on messing with fuel injection so if funds are available you may be hearing from me to see if your still making them! :)

I just got a new larger gas forge for casting stacks, bellmouths, whathave you, using lost foam technique..also have plans for a itb style intake for the microsquirt/ megasquirt guys..lots more to come in the near future..

One more..better showes scale and runner taper...plenum is only taped and sagging a bit..fitup is much better in person.

From the center of each venturi to #1/6 outside portwall..its only a 30* spread each way for the venturies proximal to the engine. So a 60* spread total between #1-6...so each venturi see's only a 15* spread for 1-2 and 15* for 2-3..the next venturi see's the same for 4-6...if that makes any sense haha..primaries will be proximal..and parralell with engine..(bowls on pass-driver side.)

If you would like a test mule with a hopped up and well characterized engine and car, I would gladly do that. I can pay for the intake(s) of course.

I have yet to test an intake that makes more power than the Clifford 4bbl, but have not tried ITBs yet. That is on the list for a winter project. Is the 3X1 TB in the pic a motorcycle unit?

I have tested long and short runner Aussiespeeds, offy 4bbl and 2X1, clifford, factory intakes... About everyone I have talked to regarding hyperpaks is that they are not as good as the Clifford for top end power, but are better in midrange.

Thanks for the interest lou! Ive got a bit of welding and this ones bound for nor-cal...then ill be starting on #2...ive got 3-4 carbed designs id like to try..and several efi intakes as well..these will happen. Im a RT by trade..and have little ones..so i dont get as much time in my lil shop as id like..but im going to keep at these...with determination. Im slant six for good. These engines are my roots..i still have the 68 225 i started with when i was 12...im 33 now...and have come full circle after playing with everything under the sun in that time..

Anywho... i was racking my brain pouring over engineering literature about the narrow fillets between runners...then realized that every crossram carbed intake out there had the same narrow strip between runners..and crossrams can be REAL effective despite this...not an ideal air entry shape..but it works..and cfd modeling doesnt show it to be of any issue...so i let it go...

I am however contenplating making a removable divider to split the plenum in two if andrew tells me its a bit soft or whatever...really dont think it will be an issue though..i really designed in dimensions i think will work..think of it as a race hyperpack sorta speak..a shortened hyper pack with more plenum volume, and what i feel are better runners for a air hungry long stroke motor..which these are imo.

Andrews car recently went 12.3x's on a 1.70 60'..on a pass he cut short on the big end with his new motor...im hoping we can get on top of that ellusive 11 sec time frame..and we will...im confident. I will be offering these..in small volumes..and hope to keep a few on the shelf for other folks..of several designs..i should have this one out to him for hard data and real world track testing in the next few days...of course ill post results..and changes if any in the design..and will definatly let YOU know Lou!

I know nobody ever reinvents the wheel if you will...so to me..NONE of this info is top secret. I am happy to post ALL my data and findings for others in this community..think of us as brothers in arms..or slants anyway. :)

The throttle bodies in the pic are triumph tripple...the 675 to be exact..they messure 44mm id..and can utilize easily removable runners/plenum to experiment with all sorts of runner and plenum sizes..and they are very affordable on ebay used..have nice adjusters for easy synching. Injectors can also be sized as big as you need..practically...i know guys making in excess of 200hp with turbo'd 675 stunt bikes..so injector sizing shouldnt be to tough or at all limited..they also have the throt position sensor nicely incorperated...they are pure win in my book.
