Boy oh boy, thanks for that info.

I had a feeling i should mess with the bushing but figured it had less than a couple K miles on it from a 3 speed, should be okay.

I live in HOA so pulling/installing the transmission without citation is difficult haha but ill start with the dust cover Inspection with hopes for the bolt hang-up Asap

Update: dust cover off and wife on the clutch ive got a pressed friction disk without clutch depressed and when pushed the pressure plate pushes off friction disk.

Im pretty sure thats correct with clutch operation? Friction disk stays on the flywheel while pressure plate pushes off. I can see how the bolts could interfere however without engine running the clutch doesnt seem to hang up on anything..

With wife on the clutch and trans in neutral try rotating the disc.....this is easier with the motor not running.

Try to visually determine if the bolt heads are contacting the disc.

Visually determine that the disc is in the right way.

With everything bolted in and only really having a visual from the dust cover i cannot verify much. However with her pushing the clutch to the floor its off the friction disk but i cannot move the disk what so ever..

starting to guess im in for another transmission drop eh?.....

Any way the disc got rusted to the flywheel?

Have you adjusted the clutch throwout link to make sure you are getting full depression of the clutch?

Try this...
- Position the vehicle in an open place... (nothing important in front of it)
- Block the wheels & set the Parking Brake.
- Pull-off the coil wire so the engine does not start.
- Put the trans in 4th gear.
- Fully depress the clutch and try to crank-over the engine with the starter.
Let us know if the engine will crank-over or if it's "stuck".
If it does crank-over, you may see some "trimmings" of clutch disc... from where the bolt heads are interfering with the side of the disc.

Did as shown, engine cranks fine and the car rocks back and forth as if it wants to go then doesnt. Does somewhat feel like its grabbing. What is this telling me?

The fact that the motor spins means your clutch is not fully stuck to the engine, so that is a good sign. the fact that it is trying to move means you are transmitting some power through the clutch when it should be disengaged. It could be the bolts, it could be the throw out bearing or its adjustment, or it could be the bushing in the end of the crank.

The fact that you cant move the disk points to the adjustment being too close or the bolts catching. If you have all six bolts in, you should be able to change them one at a time without taking the transmission out, just keep 5 out of six torqued down as you work your way around the pressure plate and it won't be able to bend.

If it is the bolts you should be able to see some score marks on the clutch disk where it is catching. Most clutch disks do not run perfectly concentric in use so don't expect a perfect line all the way around the disk.

When you have the car in neutral and you actuate the clutch do you hear/feel any scary stuff or is it just when in gear?
How far off the clutch is the pressure plate when disengaged? These clutches like a bit bigger gap than you might guess.

Tells me that it's time to reconnect the coil wire and repeat the process... (start the engine)
Just be ready to quickly shut-off the engine if the vehicle wants to drive away or there are lots of loud & nasty sounds.
If the problem is bolt head interference... this process will trim-off the high spots along the edge of the disc.
