I just replaced my Carter BBD with a 32/36 Weber last week. The jetting from the factory is too lean and I had to get a jet kit for it. It just arrived today and I plan on re-jetting tomorrow. I really, really like how easy it is to tune and calibrate the Weber compared to the BBD. So far I'm very happy with the Weber. I'll be even happier when I get it re-jetted. :D

I used an adaptor from Weber that came with the carb.

I also installed one, found it to be alot better than the crappy 1 bbl that was on there. The reason why I went with one is cause on a old van the linkage is set up different and to make it easier dealing with it is the reason.
I thought about jetting also cause when I floor it it hangs up for awhile before it takes off, but as mentioned makes me think about that some more. Good luck with it.

Just wanted to update that I have finished re-jetting the carb and it runs great. :twisted: I can tell when that second butterfly opens at about 1/2 to 2/3 throttle. 8)

I'd like to know how you have yours jetted.

I'm running a Weber 32/36 DGEV on a Clifford waterheated intake right now. It's jetted with 180 main jets, and I forget what idle sizes (can't recall off the top of my head), but I think 60 idle and 65 secondary...single pump jet. I'll have to check the sizes I'm using. It's running a bit rich, so I'd like to try 160 mains next and maybe slightly smaller idle jets.

I used to use the Weber 32/36 on a cast iron super six intake with a Datsun Weber adaptor that I re-drilled to fit the intake. The super six intake gave much better low-end torque.

By the way, your results may vary since I'm running Dutral duals with two 2" pipes w/ crossover to 2 turbo mufflers.

I'm running 160 and 155 main jets(don't have another 160), with a 50 single pump. For idle, I'm running 80 primary and 65 secondary. For air correctors, I'm running 190 primary and 180 secondary.

I'm still noticing a small flat spot in acceleration when I press more than 3/4 down on gas pedal. I'm thinking I need to get another 160 main jet for the second barrel and also step up to a 70/75 secondary idle. I tried a 60 single pump jet and experienced a bog when I floored it. So I went back to a 50 single pump jet. I'm almost at the point where I'm afraid I might be run rich if I go up in jet size. I'm only about 1 turn out from bottom on the mixture screw.

By the seat-of-the-pants feel, it seems like I have the primary barrel-side working well, but I'm thinking the secondary barrel-side needs more.

I'm not an expert carb tuner, so any feedback would help.

Myles, I forgot to add that the Weber is on a stock 225 super six setup.

I had to get a jet kit, it didn't come with one when I bought it. The carb came with 140 main jets. For idles, 60 primary and 50 secondary. I'm using the 50 single pump jet that it came with.
