Can you share your setup, auto or manual transmission? Slant 6? Standard thermostat housing or side type?

Assuming that your user handle is what you drive 1969 Plymouth Valiant, you should be able to find a Modine replacement over the counter, if it doesn't need to look 1960's stock you can also ask for a radiator for a 70's Valaint/Dart, or a 1976-1980 Volare/Aspen.... the big question will be whihc core do you have, late cars use the 19" core or for A/C-HD-Super Six, could be the 22" core...

Sorry about that. Its a 1969 Plymouth Valiant, 225/3.7 slant 6, 3 speed auto, 4 door, no A/C. Thermostat is on the driver side of the engine. I'll look into the Modine model. I'm not sure which core size it is, but it's definitely the original factory radiator. Thanks for your help.

Hi all. Ordered like $300 worth of parts for my Valiant, but still haven't ordered my radiator yet and it's freezing now in Philly. A friend of mine said his pop's shop has a bunch of them that might fit.

Can you guys give me any factory part numbers for radiators that will work with my slant? I need a trans cooler line incorporated into it. My upper rad hose is in the center, my lower is under the alternator(right side of car if you're sitting in it). idc if its designed for a V8(think that would be even better). And I don't mind changing hoses. My lower is beat anyway.

Any accurate info is appreciated. Thanks again. You guys are always a big help.

If you're planning on keeping the car awhile, cheap parts have a way of costing more than expensive ones in the long run. How good a radiator do you want, and what's your budget? Are you looking for any ol' radiator that'll get the car back on the road as quickly and cheaply as possible? Or can/will you spend the money to not have to think about the radiator again for a decade or more?

I see a bunch of 1970(ish) V8 all-aluminum radiators on ebay for less than $150. Is it possible to swap out hoses and use one of these designs in my slant? I'm thinking that the price is right, aluminum has a couple of advantages, it should cool better since it's larger(and aluminum) and I can install the new hoses myself(assuming that I get the right part #s ) without much added cost. If anyone can confirm, I would appreciate it. Thanks a lot.

Cheap Chinese. One of these might work OK for you for awhile. Don't expect long or trouble-free life out of it. Hose location, you'll have to cobble it up with flex hoses.

Upper and lower radiator hoses on passenger side of radiator, stock trans cooler built into bottom of radiator.

This is an A/C or "heavy duty cooling" radiator so that is a good price. Last time I bought a heavy duty radiator it was over $300 and that was over ten years ago.

Casually looking for a Clifford hyperpak intake for cheap.

Champion Radiators now sells an aluminum 3 row radiator with the inlet/outlet in the stock position for the slant six. Also has the transmission cooler in stock location. It is a 22" radiator which will give you the extra cooling needed if you ever add A/C. Runs $230 shipped.

If you ever plan to do a V8 swap, go with a V8 radiator and flexible hoses to reach the inlet/outlet. Only want to make the purchase once.

I have a 1966 Chrysler Valiant with a 225 Slant 6 with 3 speed manual.
I have looked on Rock Auto under the 1966 Plymouth Valiant section but couldn't find a Spectra part number for a radiator .
Would anyone know of the part number or can provide a link ?
I am guessing the 2 cars would use the same radiator ?
