What benefits, if any, does a true double roller timing set have over standard or matched?

A "true roller" has rollers that are made from solid round material, where as a non-"true roller" has the roller rolled into a circle and has a visible seam, and under extreme loading can fail easier because it isn't a solid piece.

Just about the hardest thing on timing gear is a rough idle .

My rule of thumb has always been get the best timing set you can afford and you'll likely never have to replace it. Best does not mean most expensive. Personally I don't care if the chain or valvetrain make a little noise if it means I'll never have it fail. I do not ever like using those nylon gears because they come apart and the pieces get sucked into places that cause further problems. I prefer the double roller type.
