That carburetor is not suitable for your '66, no. It's also mislabelled; it's a 1960 Valiant carburetor. It's also "remanufactured" (=stay away).

ok so this one looks right, but it is more than I wanted to spend. I think this may be right, if I bought it will this and my original work on a
offenhauser 2 + 1 intake in the future?

"Remanufactured" junk -- stay away.

To successfully run the 2×1 setup, you need two identical carburetors. Identical in specification, identical in condition. "Close enough" isn't, and neither is "they both fit and look about the same".

Holley 1945 carbs are pretty much the best pick for a 2×1 setup. Fortunately, they're also the least difficult to find as new old stock items.

ok cool, I will keep looking. will a 1945 holly work on my car now with some modification? So if I find a carter 4100s that has not been rebuilt before like the one already on the car, is it worth it to rebuild both to use eventually on a 2 + 1 system? Thank you for all the help, I just received the exhaust manifold and gaskets, I'm looking for someone local that can blast the intake clean so I can paint it, so all I need is a carb I can rebuild before I take it apart. I'm trying to find the right ac brackets for this car, going to some swap meets over the next couple of weeks, maybe I can meet the right people that have parts saved up. Does the Barracuda use the same A.C. system as the Valiant?
Thnaks,
Shawn

A 1945 is not a good choice if you're sticking with the stock single-carb setup for now -- only if you're building a 2×1 setup.

I am replacing the exhaust manifold tomorrow, along with rebuilding the carb in a friends shop. You mentioned in a earlier reply:

The 1966-type exhaust manifold is no longer available, only the '73-up type can be bought, but it will fit and work just fine on your '66 with a few other minor changes.

Just curious, what are the minor changes I need to make? I know there is a O2 sensor hole to plug, I was considering buying a senor and gauge to tune it with. And I did order the electric choke. If I buy the sensor and gauge is there a kit you would recommend? And is there anything I should look for while we are doing the work?

Thanks

Shawn
