AKA a crying damn shame. This gasket came with my Valiant when I bought it, but it apparently wasn't very well protected. Any thoughts on using it? Fill in the crunchy gaps with copper RTV? Red Hylomar? Discard and just buy a Victor Reinz for $12?

Thanks for the confirmation, y'all. I folded it up and threw it away to end the temptation of trying to use it.

When I bought my first Remflex, some one made a shipping box for it - just a little too short. So, they "Z'ed" it into the box. Quality product ruined before it got to the shipper.

If you're going to spend for a new gasket, just get another Remflex and save yourself some headaches. It's $40 but worth it.
