I see requests for windage trays on occasion. Since Mopar discontinued these years ago, and Mike Jeffery retired, I was not aware of any source for these.

Hi Charlie,

I will have a pattern shortly. It will be adjustable for different pans
and I also think I will make a version that does not need the 340/360
installation main bolts.

I never knew they made Teflon zero clearance scrapers!

I have known Kevin for several years. I have a couple of his crank scrappers for 170's. I lent him some short blocks, some years ago, to use for mockups.

He has gotten His Metal and Body Guy to make them - they are a nice piece.

Mine is unfinished.. I need to to the final assembly and mock up on it.

I could not find the desire to produce them since there is a much beter product
already available.

K-J only offered a forged crank slant crank scraper. Kevin and I talked on the phone a couple of
times and I sent him a marked up pattern of the changes needed to his two piece forged scraper
to make it fit a cast slant six crank. He said he has been wanting to do a scraper for a cast slant crank,
so he may have it available by now.

I think Johnson's was $60 15 years ago. Mike's were $25 when he quit.

not sure what you bought 15 years ago, the K-J of today are a little pricy, but they are two

piece units, scrape on both the up and down crank circle. Mike had a one side flat scraper.

if one was to only purchase the one flat piece, the side that is comparable to what Mike sold, and also leave
off the swinging trap doors, then and this is my assumption, it should be comparable to Mike's price as it would
be a comparable part.

When one purchases the K-J two piece scraper, it is the 'bent' scraper that has the manufacturing cost to it.

My Ishihara-Johnson is a scraper on one side and just a spacer on the other.

I had to grind a lot to get the crank to miss it.

Please tell me why the one side is bent at a 90 degree angle and what the hinged trap doors are for.
Would these be installed with a gasket on top and bottom? How is the difference in thickness made up on the ends of the oil pan?

I didn't make a spacer to go with my crank scraper. Is it required to get the oil pan to seal? How are you guys sealing your pan/scraper/blocks?
I see just sealer for Lou. Who else?
