If any lemons teams are coming to the pitt maneuver race in april I am available to crew help etc.

Can get driver gear if needed as well. Track is about 1 hour from my place!

Yeah, I just noticed that. Unlikely given that CMP full 24 hr is ~ 2 weeks after that and Jason plans to run that with the 64 Val. I would love to run that race, especially with the GOCAR Skunkwerkz so nearby. Thanks for the offer! Texas 64 Dart is too far away, methinks. Toadracer won't be ready by then.

If you have not been to one, it would be cool to go and watch the carnage...

Hey Greg,

As we get ToadRacer further along and start making it to some races it would be great to have a shop to use as HQ and a good wrench/crew for the Pitt Maneuver race!

Like Lou said, if you haven't been to a Lemons race yet, you should check it out. It's only $30 for the weekend to watch and you can go through the pits and talk to everyone.

I went to a Lemons race a few years ago at Barber. One of the more interesting cars was a '53-'54 Studebaker Hawk with small block Mopar power.
The things you see.....

People would go crazy for Ruster at a Lemons concours or hooptie event. It is the ultimate...

I think Concours d'Lemons will take just about anything as long as it's weird. They'd probably love to have a real slant six drag car. Looks like the next East Coast event is at "Hooptiecon East" at the New Jersey race in June.

Pitt is too far for my team, and that's right after the NOLA race. There's another team on the East Coast with a slanted '67 Valiant (beware, large image), but I don't know them personally and don't know if they're planning to be at Pitt this year. I do have the guy's email address from when he was asking me questions a few years ago, so I could put you in touch if you're curious.

Greg, I just saw this thread again and realized I never followed through on putting you in touch with that slant six Lemons team from New York. Didn't matter too much since the 2020 Pitt race got COVID'ed, but assuming they race again next April I went ahead and sent your email address to the guy (Larry).
