Do you just not like the look of the current wheels?

Please don't mess "The Colt" up with the fly's unless they are satin finish and then I'm not sure. I'm with Dennis, Rob and everybody else.
Did I talk you out of 20's and led rocker lights on your Lancer wagon? I can't remember, it's been a few years back.

Thank you Mark for your wisdom and good memory.
And thanks for an LOL from Deb, she cracked up!

Ok, polished spun aluminum it is.

And Rob, no I do not like DragLites.
Never did like them, but that is what came on the Colt.
They are a PAIN to clean.

All the polished Draglites are for Sale.
15 x 3.5 Spindle Mounts and 15 X 14 Rears with 8 Inch Dish Out, 6 Inch Back.

It's your car do what'cha want with it.

Buy some granite and bolt it on if that makes you happy..

If you are going for a period look than put something on that looks period correct.

I would like to know the weights of whatever wheels you decide on before you mount the tires and tubes in 'em.

I will get you the weights Greg before I mount them up. Might have to put the scale on the ceiling, they float up and you don't hold them down with something.

Many have asked about the spindle mounts, well just one really...
Here is the spindle on the front end.
You can see the axle shaft going into the back of the wheel.
And then the wheel slips on the stub.
Inner and outer bearings are in the wheel hub.
This is an image when the Colt got to me.
I have new rotors, ball joints, polished aluminum mount, etc.

I have a friend down here in Texas, Bama Brown. Radio talk host with KASE, Dripping Springs. He is a pretty neat guy. He has been on Iron Resurrection TV show and he is building homes for First Responders on his property. Anyway he told me he had something for me and this showed up in the mail today. It's a scale model of my Colt! I was blown away as I unwrapped the packing. Who does that anyway? And oh by the way, we are face book friends, I have never met him face to face.

Back on the Colt, lots of races upcoming.
I got some stuff cleaned up and painted.
The transmission is back from Liberty, they had it at least 4 months.
Going to try and get the Dana back in this week and the brakes installed.
Wheels are on order from Bogart.
Sheetmetal work around the rear and the shock mounts to think about.

Very cool. Mark Charapich (Marion, VA) is a super modeler too, and he did a custom model for Seymour when he retired from the Head Honcho of the racing series and SSRN editor. It was a 62 Valiant done up like his blue racecar, sitting on the starting line at Clay City. They had never met at that point!

Rick, if you are thinking about it, I would not wait.
They said they are doing fewer and fewer of these each year.
And they have many other efforts, these 833's are LOW priority.
That being said, I am happy and I hope I get a few years before I have to upgrade.
Here are a couple of images of the work.
I had my main case steel bushed for the countershaft support.
It's an all aluminum cased transmission.
2nd, 3rd and 4th are faceplated.
I have a syncro for 1st.
