Got a BBD sittin on the six for the moment. Can't get the son of a gun to run and idle right. Acts like its running ludicrously rich. When I disconnected my vacuum guage from the port closest to the right idle screw, gas leaks out.

My guess is that it is leaking internally. Thoughts? Any idea what would cause that? Or where from?

Sounds like the float setting is way off.

Could need rebuild , needle & seat may be done. Float assy. may be heavy/taking on fuel & needs replaced. Or if somebody tried putting a new sealing washer on the fuel inlet needle/seat assy it could(prob.) be out of adj. The only other odd causes are too much fuel pressure, or fuel percolation from type(winter blend in summer) or excess manifold temp.
