Wandered down to the shop today and measured the car to see how much more tire I can get under it without it being s pain. Ordered a pair of 30X10.50X15 Hoosiers.

Hopefully the weather warms up shortly so I can get to work.

You don't go to work in an unheated shop when it's cold?

What size does it have now?

I will work in the shop if it's above freezing usually. It was 18 yesterday.

Okay that sounds right.

It was ~20° all day yesterday I worked 4 hrs, warmed up 3 hours and then back to work for 3 or 4 hrs.
Spring weather is welcome...

I layer up and use hand warmers. welding is fun in the cold - It's harder to get burned :-o

When I got home I put my snowblower up on the tailgate of my truck and replaced the bearings on the auger shaft. Fortunately it took less than an hour.

Garage heat is on the list of home improvement things to do someday........

I have a Modine 100k BTU, hanging natural gas furnace in my garage. No, it isn't for sale. Sorry.
I put up with a torpedo (salamander) for the 1st few years I had the garage up, wow that was expensive to feed.
now I keep it around 40 out there (I have a low temp thermostat that I think I can drop a couple degrees below that, even/ unless I am working out there, then I turn up the heat to around 55 just for as long as whatever Im doing takes to finish then I turn it down. 40 ish all the time, is enough to keep anything metal from "sweating" and rusting out there.
When I ran the torpedo I had NO additional heat out there when I wasn't out there that the walls and roof couldn't contain.

Honestly? I really don't mind staying in the house when it's cold out.

Good thing my old ones are still good.

That sounds a little odd to me? :? It'd be nice if they could give you an idea when they might have them.

I have a pair of 11X31 Phoenix on the Daytona that I bought from Seymour. I would try them, but they may not be in good shape after sitting 10 years. They have been deflated and off the floor though.

Went down and fired the car yesterday. All 6 cylinders came to life.

Fired the 4 wheeler and rode it around.

Since I plan on running points at 41 this year I got my IHRA membership and car number. 2X25.

My other slick is supposed to be here today.
