I just asked this question over at FABO and should have started here - my bad! Thanks Charlie S for the reminder! Anyone know when Clifford stopped offering their version of the Hyperpack and how much they sold for? Charlie said Doug might know. Thanks in advance!

Wow, awfully quiet on this subject.

IIRC some of the Clifford had flaws to them. Can't remember what they were. Buyer beware?

Don I had posted a couple of years ago that the manifolds were not listed any more in the online store.
It was my guess that when Larry sold the exhaust manifold rights to Aussie-Speed he stopped with the intakes.
I also thought I heard that Doug D wanted to buy the equipment back, but that is just speculation.

What the last price was I do not know.

There was chatter at FABO that Larry didn't want to deal with slant sixes anymore.

Clifford hasn't stopped making them, he only makes a run of them when he has taken 20 or 25 orders for them because that's what the foundry requires him order before they will make a pour. Offenhauser and other companies do the same thing, otherwise they end up with thousands of dollars of product sitting on the shelf for 3 or 4 years that you could be using that money for other things. Many jump to the wrong conclusions based on what they might see on a website. Also, many companies don't put products on their website that are considered "slow movers" because it takes up space for better selling products....

with AussieSpeed long runner intakes being readily available, is there any reason to not go that route vs Clifford? it seems like AS put a lot of time and $$ into developing their intakes. with the recent price increases for Offys ($600 for their intake) it almost makes more sense to me to go with an AS setup.

That is why I stopped having the slant six AC compressor mounts made. The fab shop increased the per unit pricing, and the minimum order. I just couldn't justify having that much money sitting on the shelf.

For a street or street/track car, the AS long runner is a great option, and way better than a hyperpak. For ulimate high RPM power, use the Clifford short runner 4V intake (not hyperpak). I like the mid-length runner AS intake too.
