I'm a little late to the party, but I've had back "luck" with LuK pressure plates on two different FWD cars over the years. In both cases the new LuK clutch disc was fine, but the pressure plate ended up being just slightly wrong enough on some dimension that it wouldn't disengage after everything was bolted back together. A very annoying thing to learn after you've already reassembled everything and are trying to start the car and back it out of the garage. No experience whatsover with clutches on the Slant Six, though.
