Dumb question I know, and I think I know the answer.
I know many of them had 9" drums all the way around.
I only ask because it's been a LONG time since I've dealt with front drum brakes on anything less than a semi.
The drums themselves wouldn't be interchanged front to rear would they? ( Yes I know the studs were swedged to hold the fronts to the hubs) There was a guy on FABO that was looking for front 9" a few days ago is the only reason I ask.

No, they don't interchange unless you somehow want less braking force up front.

The fronts have 9" x 2 1/2" drums and the rears are 9" x2" or 9" x 1.75"... something like that.

I have fronts for that guy, but I am keeping them for a project for now.. Maybe later.

Like I'd said it's been a while since I messed with front drums. Not since dads 76 feather duster that was "supposed to be" my first car til my brother wrecked his 74 charger and needed a replacement "yesterday"..... I just remember reading that other guys post and thought well, maybe ....
I forgot about the fronts being wider

Shoes, Springs, Levers, and all small bits sold.

Drums are still available so you can start your own band.

I have cleaned up the drums, and found there to be a chip in the friction surface of one drum.

It must not have affected it much as I drove with the drums on my '62 for a few years with that chip, and I never knew it was there.
