Anyone in the PNW (Washington, Oregon, Idaho or B.C.) have a factory cast iron slant to V8 trans adapter and crank spacer?
I would be willing to pay for shipping if one is available further away for a reasonable price.

If anyone has cad or factory drawings/dimensions of one that would also help.

I don't always remember to check back here for messages so you can also email me at autoideas@ymail.com

I have a set. I don't want to sell, but I would be willing to loan it if you are wanting to scan it for CNC purposes.

I thought someone had done that and had some made.
Out of aluminum even. Wasn't there a group buy involved?

I don't have a cnc (way out of my level of expertise). I am more of the make a cardboard template of each side then transfer it to a chunk of aluminum or steel then start drilling & tapping holes.
A cad drawing would be great for center line and precise measurements. I actually enjoy jumping down the rabbit hole of doing layouts and transferring patterns to material the hard way.

You are close enough that it may be worth it if I can't locate one for myself.

I saw that and from what I saw it was a very limited run. In my case I could actually use the weight of a iron/steel version. The original Dragmaster Dart Six C-Dragster they had to add weight to meet their class and make it less squirrely.

Well, keep me in mind. I am down in Tacoma, so that is within easy driving distance for a tracing project.

I'm wondering if taking the parts to a place like this would be worth it. I would get them scanned for my personal use and then just share the files for everyone to use!
They are close to me (I'm in the Renton/Issaquah area) so it wouldn't be out of the way and it shouldn't cost more than $200 to have both parts scanned and mapped.

I think everyone would appreciate that. A couple things, though- most of the torque converter spacers are sized for the pre-1968 torque converter hub snout. Also, some clearancing around the starter is necessary to mate the adapter to the A500/A518 transmissions. Despite having had an A500 and the adapter package since about 2018, I am ashamed to say I have not yet mocked up the fit to nail down exactly what the clearance problem is.

Maybe someone who has actually run one of these with a modenr transmission can clarify.

AR Engineering did them. I had one for awhile, I think I sold it to a guy in Nebraska.

JR, I have made to adapters using Lakewood Block Plates.
First one was a 340 bellhousing.
Second one was a BB bellhousing.

I have the 340 bell and adapter plate sitting in the garage.

I can't remember who? But, it sticks in my mind that he sold the files to make them to someone. Seems like I texted with Dusteridiot, here on the site about that, but he hasn't been on here for a long time.

Lou had one and possibly was involved in getting them made.

I seem to recall Andy did sell the files, but I can't remember who got them.

Well, if people were willing to be patient, I could be convinced to make full size rubbings of both sides of my adapter plate and mail them to you. I could do the crank spacer, too, but you need to machine it for the post-68 converter snout size. You could use the rubbings as the template for your adapter.
