Last night, after "tweaking" the choke adjustment a bit, it once again, started right up by depressing the peddle once and holding it half way down. I tried it again this morning - about 32* outside. Depressed peddle to set choke, held half way down, started on second try, then settled into a nice idle. Was able to kick it down a notch or two off of the fast idle cam with no problems.

Now, I just need to get rid of that stumble off idle.

Run max initial timing advance. Increase pump shot. What's your carb type?

D/W

P. S. - ideally, if everything is jam-up, you should be able to depress and release the pedal one time and start up dead cold and idle without touching the gas again.

DW - I think it's a 1945 carb. I'm pretty sure it's whatever came on the car originaly in 1974. Yes, I thought about changing the linkage for more of a pump shot, and advancing the timing some. It's awfully close now.
