Hi there!
I'm having some issues with my lower hose, it actually is touching my alternator/fan belt if i don't fix it with a nylon rope (i don't know the name in english). I think my alternator is in the wrong place or at least it's missing the metal strip that's used for the belt tension. My only way adjust the belt is to unbolt the only bolt my alternator is fitted by and then bolt it again.
Anyway, i'm searching for a photo of this area to see if i really have a problem or if my hose is not the right one. If you have also measurement of this hose it would be very great!
Thanks for your help.

Marc

P.S : Dan, i'm getting a shop manual for my birthday in a few weeks!

Digging up this old thread, i'm searching through the advance auto parts search engine and when i go for lower radiator hose i have about 5-6 parts!
Of course there's several brands but there's also 2different hoses for goodyear or drive-rite etc...! One of them says 1 1/2" ID x 17" . http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDeta ... 64&ptset=A
Which one should i choose? Or which one can i bend to make it the right curve (does that exists by the way!?)?
Avenger2040, how did you made yours? Just bend it and it stays in place?
Thanks for your help!

Marc

I din´t make my lower hose or bend it, here in Mexico that kind of hoses are maked and selled in that shape for 225 engines, almost any autoparts store got the hoses kit.

Correct lower radiator hose for your car is a Gates 20465 or Dayco 70362. UAP-NAPA should have the Gates item.

Thanks for all these answers! Dan, do you also have the reference for the upper hose? :) Thanks by advance.
Another thing, I checked on the same site (advance auto parts) the water outlet housings and it seems they are all pointing at 45°. Mine is just straight up! Where do they make it straight?

The outlet is straight up, but the bolt holes are on a 45degree sloping angle.........

So if just looking at the outlet housing it would look like it's 45 degrees, but when mounted it comes out straight up

For a '65? Gates number 20433, Dayco number 71011, cut both ends to correct length.

There is only one water outlet intended for the slant-6. It points straight up.

While Dan has the actual part number, I find it easier to just have the counter person find a lower radiator hose for a '75 Dart, form fitted please. It is easier for everybody, when the counter person doesn't have to think to hard. It is most likey that they have never seen a '65 Dart and the computer doesn't go back that far.
