Hi All,
I will be attempting to replace the leaky heater core in my Air Conditioned 66 Dart. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to make this job easier? From my observations it appears that I will have to dismantle about all of the dash board
Thanks
Todd

IIRC the heater core portion is a spearate unit from the AC section, so you shouldn't have to disconnect the AC. There may be a couple of studs holding the heater box to the firewall - would have to go look at my unit. Other than a cable, maybe a couple of vacuum lines, the electrical connections, it ought to come out fairly easy. The case is held together by those spring clips. I did my heater core, but it was on the bench. Hope this helps.

Todd, I'm about to install a new heater core on my 66 Valiant, so keep me posted on the progress. I'd appreciate any tips you might have and the amount of time it takes. If you can take any pictures of the process I'd love to see those as well.

Good luck!
