It is a nice installation, but I can't figure out what you are using for the grommet that holds the PCV valve into the new breather cap. It's not a standard Chrysler PCV valve grommet, though it looks like you are using a '61-'69 metal "curved pipe" Chrysler PCV valve.

All the parts were $7.17 thru Rock auto. That and 20 NGK plugs cost me 10.00 to ship. I needed plugs as Snowmobile season is coming. The shipping is worth it considering someone might see you ordering Chevy parts  at your local parts store.

I recant everything I said about the valve cover. Thanks to SlantSixDan and 66Dart for not only all the info needed but pics to boot. Since this can be done without mods to the valve cover other that drilling a one inch hole I am in the mix for one. Please update with the info etc. SOON!!!
Chas. :D

count me in for the valve cover (depending on shipping cost to Canada), but not for the intake. Maybe a seperate group buy can be done for that?

I just don't know which intake I want yet :)

Please use this thread for discussing the valve covers and intakes themselves. To participate in the group buy, please go here. --mod

Well, it looks like the rain has finally stopped, so tonight I'm gonna start working on my offy valve cover. It's already drilled for a PCV valve, but I'm gonna open it up to take an oil separator, and fit it with a better oil cap(Mr Gasket's chrome 710 cap), it's a push-in, so it'll be a matter of making the hole in the valve cover smaller on that side (hooray for mighty putty...don't laugh, I swiped a stick from my dad while I was home last weekend), and getting it cleaned up and painted. I'll take pictures, wish me luck

Since the valve covers are here what is everyone using for a oil fill/breather cap? I saw some clamp on ones at Summit but haven't found the push in one. Thanks Mike

What would you say needs replacing if you get traces of oil pooling in the fin grooves?

That suggests you haven't got your crankcase ventilation set up correctly. How's yours set up? You've got an oil cap on the chimney at the front of the cover and...?
