Oh yes, a good head would be something I would be interested in. I'd also like to see a serpentine belt set up too. |

A belt driven OHC opens up the possibility of a real Hemi. The combustion chamber is a definate hold back. Designing one like the the 318 "302" is an idea. You get a more complete burn with that design. I have another close chamber SB head that has a chamber design like the 906 BB head. I would really like to build a real high compression motor in the future. Street of course! Aluminum would help. I would definately want H2O injection. I want effecient! Maybe someone will pick up the ball and run with this in OZ. More now than ever there is more interest in these engines. Kind of like the Thermobog carbs. I had renewed interest in them back in 1998 when I bought my van. They were cheap to buy cores back then, (still are!) I got a computer in 2000 and starting drinking in a lot more Mopar knowledge. I got my Duster in 2002 will full intentions of having another BB A body. (I used to have a '67 Formula S fastback with a well built 440. ) I got involved on the ss.com board and eventually ended up here. We now have new intakes, and bolt on supercharger kits! New connecting rods etc. These engines are still cheap and plentiful. There is auto related machinests etc are getting laid off and starting their own specialty products for vintage cars. I look forward to the future of slanting! |

Unless someone can come up with the start-up money and a design that more than 3 people can agree on this project is deader than Kelsey's nuts. |

I want an aluminum-head, aluminum-block, dual overhead cam 246 cubic inch slant-6 with variable valve timing, variable compression, gasoline direct injection, and serpentine belts. And I want it yesterday, dammit. Who's Kelsey? |

Perhaps we should all email Vic Edelbrock and get this ball rolling...

I just thought of something... I know someone that machines heads / blocks and makes custom heads / blocks.. His name is Ron and he runs Rons Machining. I'll run it past him and see what he thinks. He might want to start making custom slant heads and blocks out of aluminum? |

That just made me throw up a little bit. Lets use a crappy chevy design on our slants.Naaa...im good. The wedge shape to the stock slant head is not a bad design performance wise, even lowly big blocks used it.

The 409 head didn't really have a chamber. It was flat like a Perkins diesel head if I remember correctly. Dan, weren't you the one who posted the story about Kelsey's nuts before? |
