Yeah,... It ain't RPM & Rocker Arm Ratio...

It was the air on dyno day and HP/CID! :D

I should have put a "+" after the 1.6 as well, cuz Howard used the word "over" in that sentence if I recall correctly...

I don't remember what overbore Howard told me this current engine is at... :?

I called Howard's accountant for a cost rundown on this billet head...

Just for parts, materials and equipment (cuz labor on sumthin' like this is ALWAYS free  )...

Total investment is....

A MILLION DOLLARS!!!

(I'll let all you smart fellers do the math... )

We put my new Gary Bruner built race motor on the dyno a couple months ago, but I don't kiss and tell... :P

Seein' as how this is Howard's thread (I just take dictation... )...

Howard sez we should meet up at his local track so'z we can embarrass ourselves with him as a witness!

I'd call ya to discuss details, but you never answer when I call! I know yer just skeered...

Howard also asked me about his beloved Demon and asked if you gave it a good home... I lied and said you did.

Now quit stalking me on other folks' threads!!! :x :x

SSSHHHHH!! It's a SECRET!!

Friday probably won't see any full passes. Just some initial baselines, tune up and suspension set up checks, etc...

If all goes well Friday they'll head back on Saturday for some "Let's see what she'll do!" passes.

Did not make it down to Lyons to see Howard. High School football pictures and an evening scrimage was the focus.

Ran into a local guy( Jim Stout I think he said his name was) at the ATM this morning. He was headed to IRP with a Dart and said he had been to Lyons the night before. Asked about Howard - he asked if his car was blue - yada yada- said he hadn't seen him around in awhile. Asked him how did he run-he couldn't quite remember thought sixes/sevens.

Now to go cut up tree limbs - killer storm last night - I am lucky - this side of town still has power.

Thanks Cookie. I'll give Howard a call and report back.

Sorry to hear about the storm damage.

We had some serious thunder and lightning here, but not that much wind.

Chase and I could have raced again last night, but decided to chill out at home instead. We all took Mom dinner at work.

Testing will continue...

Post subject:  More Eye Candy from Howard!! :-)

After burying Wookie's body somewhere in Southern Illinoisy or Northern Indiana yesterday I stopped by to visit with Howard Davis...

They've got the Gremlins narrowed down pretty well. Not all the way there yet, but pretty close.

He said they were even tempted to go to Clay City, but had developed a vibration over 100 MPH that kept them home. It turned out to be one of the slicks.

I won't divulge (that's "tell you about stuff" Cookie  ) everything, but his dial in number was right there in the front window and he said I could take some pictures, so...

What's that you say..? You haven't seen the dial in yet..? Oh yeah!! Here ya go!

They'll be watching the weather for this weekend and may head to Clay City for some more testing. Tracks closer to home are already closed for the winter.

Yes. It Lives!! And lives quite nicely, thank you very much!

And yes... Howard will surely be coming to some races in 2013.

Look for his C/Alcohol record to be re-set this year. :D

Now I need to convince him to come to the banquet in February...
