You and Richard Dawkins are on point. See:

How about we keep this post about the Slant 6 and Hyperpaks. If you want to discuss religious matters, (which are not allowed here) then please move that to a separate post in the social section. I'm sure that won't end well.
Thanks,
Rick

My apologies for my contribution to that.
I love a joke more'n most anything, and that tends to get some folks going sometimes.

I did stop by the foundry on Monday and re-verified that he is willing to do them and that is a go. Once I get the manifolds back in hand (At the Mason Dixon Race) I am going to go back and see the pattern maker and get a written price on the core boxes & machining. If, after that meeting I am feeling good about it then I will cough up some cash and get him started on the work.

Rick

PS. remember, I said I am not jumping into this until my truck is painted and back on the road. So please be patient.

Looks like we haven't had an update in a little while. Has the pattern maker had a chance to give you an estimate yet?

I did not get back to the pattern maker yet. Mainly because I just am not ready to start a huge project now. I am sorry for everyone that is wanting this right now, but I just can't do it right now. I would still like to do this project but I am just not sure when.

I laid out a time line early on, and I haven't kept that. Life and health has a way of slowing things down sometimes. Sometimes a lot. I am glad that I haven't collected a dime from anyone. So I don't need to worry about that. I will keep you posted when I do start to move forward.

Rick,

Take your time and do it when it makes sense and when you are ready. This is a hobby, and needs to be enjoyable, or why do it!? I find if I give myself deadlines and try to hold to them, I get down on my hobby - not good...

Cheers,

Lou

Which is something we should all understand and respect. Im glad you have your priorities straight.....it makes it more likely this project will end well and happily.

if a person has no health, he has nothing, so like they said, take care of yourself first. Life comes before hobbies!!!

these old cars and parts are our hobby, not a business!!!

Thanks to all. I do have some health issues, but mostly it is my wife's health. She suffers from severe atypical migraines and has had one almost every day since Thanksgiving. For the last 4 weeks she has been on meds to basically put her brain to sleep and try and break the cycle of headaches. Currently she sleeps about 16-18 hrs per day. So when she is up I spend as much time with her as I can, to try and help her and encourage her. Right now I don't need any new major projects. This one will be a good one, once the time is right.

Rick
