Goals for the coming 2020 season will be to be consistently in the 12's. I will lose about 90-100 pound in weight and still leave the steel hood in place. Carry 8 gallons less gas- 50#, New race seat and aluminum brackets 17# Remove Passenger door panel, glass and winder, both rear side windows- 26#.
Should be able to get into the 12.80's or better with some tuning. Just going to enjoy having a nice fast car for next year, and maybe for 2021 I will debut the 4 speed after all?

Be careful what you use writing your numbers on it. I have some fancy dial in marker stuff and I usually have to buff it off.

I think I'm going try having the local sign guy who does wraps and stuff cover the rear side glasses in clear vinyl. I will ask him if that would work or not. He is a drag racer too so he will know.

Got the transmission pan off and the valve body out this afternoon. Going to replace the selector shaft seal which has been leaking all year! I finally had an engine in that did not leak anywhere and the transmission leaked all the time!!! :) :) .

If you remember I had this valve body in and out 4 or 5 times until I found that the problem was the little nub on one of the shuttles was worn a bit. I was told to place a small washer behind it and that fixed it. However the washer is just loose in there, and while it has not given me any trouble, while it is out I am going to tack weld it to the end plate.

More to come! :D :D

Well! Christmas time is here and a very special employer (Thanks son) and my other 3 boys and wife came together and somehow I am going to end up with a new fiberglass hood and trunk lid!!! :D :D What a nice nice gift from my family!! :D Should ship to me in a couple weeks. I already spoke to Robbie about painting them. And I have a little of the original paint left over too, so it should be a good match!

If my math is close I will lose about 160# or so. The Wallace calculator says that a 12.95 ET at my weight and losing 160# should be in the 12.7x ish range. Right where I wanted to be some day!! :D :D

Zilla, I'm pretty sure you are the one that said this is a never ending thing! Right??

With 12.70's as a new goal for 2020, that really isn't that far from 12.50!! :D :D :D
