Man, looks like I'm going to really need to step up to run with you, Rick.

Thanks again, Rick. Lid looks and sounds great. I figured about 10#, so that's perfect. Maybe I can get Project V under 2350 lbs w/the alum engine!

I'm probably going to stop tomorrow and get some aluminum to make up some hinges for mine like I did the hood. It may add a pound but I'm Ok with that. I know how to do the hinges, but I am not sure about the latches or pins. I was kind of hoping to use something through the existing lock hole to latch it? But I'm not sure what. Any ideas pass them along. :D :D

Rick, do you have any patterns for the hood hinges you made?

I want to make some for my 64.

I have always heard weight high and back is good for hook.
I hope your hooks as well as it did before.

I put a glass trunk lid on my Barracuda years ago because it had hail dents.
It was cheaper to go glass than fix the dents.

Greg I think I have paper copies of the brackets I epoxied to the hood. The hinge brackets themselves were basically the same shape as the factory hinge without the hook where the torsion spring hooked in. I'll look for the brackets later today.
