Hmmmm, that stinkin' holley looks familiar! I think you should go with the stock converter and give me a real good deal on the nine incher so I can put it in my Duster for the S. GA race! ![]() D/W |

Put 'em in. Fast is good, esp when parts are just sitting there. Lou |

Well the whole idea of this project was to do it as a wannabe slixer, without any parts stock. Then do upgrades as a budget and interest would allow. |

Option two: Go ahead and put the converter and rear in, then help me locate a good deal on a 9" converter and we can document the difference on my Duster. Seriously. ![]() D/W |

I got a good deal, from Edge racing converters, on mine. But you know how one thing leads to another? To use the "good" converter I need to either change the complete trans, or swap the front parts to the late model. My converter was built with the small pilot and large splines. I could do it, but it is "just one more thing". |

Did some work on the car, this weekend. Removed the driveshaft and transmission. Got the right front suspension off, and the upper ball joint removed from the "A" arm. Left front suspension is fighting me. Torsion bar is stuck, upper control arm cam bolts frozen. The ball joint did break loose. If I want this car at the Ga. race I need to get my butt in gear. It should be going together, not still coming apart. |

Thanks, Not much time today, but I did get the torsion bar out and everything else except one upper "A" arm cam bolt. If it doesn't give up tommorow, it's hot wrench time. |

The left front suspension is done. New ball joints, and bushings, cleaned and painted, with Valspar anti rust gloss black, reinstalled. The lower "A" arm pins were trashed, and needed two upper cam bolts, so decieded to do everything in the front end. Got two cam bolts and two lower pins from Just Suspension, for $70. Inner tie rod ends (they do not come with the PST kit) for 22.96 at Advance auto parts. Making progress, slowly. |

Both sides of the front end are completed, except for final tightening, after the car is on its wheels. Got the outside of the trans cleaned, and the pan removed. Will be changing the front internals of the trans to use a large spline converter. Next is the front brakes. ![]() ![]() |

Front brakes are complete. Replaced everything, except for the drums (9 inch). Trans is apart on the bench. The rear firewall, covering the area once occupied by the rear seat, and package tray, has been completed, in aluminum, thanks to Erik (MPG Fanatic). |
