Paul, Dont worry they will let it in. I have seen a lot of oddball wired and not clean stuff sitting next to the shined up ones. It will be fine. it's also a great place to find parts and just see some stuff that's out there. Greg |

I've never been to Carlisle. I've been going to Ohio, to Indy then back to Ohio at the Nationals, for many years but with a Hemi powered 55 wagon, 70 GTX 440 6pk, 64 Belvedere etc... I've now entered the world of reality ( 6mo unemployement, family etc...) I'd love to patronize the slant sixes and attend a show I've never seen. The gas mileage from Chicago is also much more appealing with a six (miles to gallon not gallons to mile-yahoo!) Hope enough turn out! Thanks, Dale |

Greg, Did you meet up with anyone other than me? I did find an unused clifford 4 barrel intake that I bought for $125. I just need to go out and get the adapter plate to mount my 465 holley. Phil |

I was at Carlisle this year and only found a handful of Slant 6's (One had Dutra Duals). The long awaited next issue of the Slant 6 News (Issue 62) will be out by then and I'd be willing to contact Carlisle and set up a tent if we could have a good turn out. If not I'll be there anyway. For those who can't get that far east how about the Chrysler Nationals at Columbus, OH? Any other ideas for kicking off the revival of the Slant 6 News? Tom S., humina11@yahoo.com |

I have got a box of letters, photos and other stuff that Jack had given to someone in Califorinia to help get out the next issue (#62). This stuff is old but if it's never been published so I guess it's new. Just as Jack intended this issue will focus on Full sized Slant 6 models. I've got some member's stories, Q&A, an article on Handling and some Amazing Stories with some cool artwork but I need some classified ads to help round out this upcoming issue. I could use some members stories on Full Size C-Body Slant 6 powered cars. I need to get in touch with the Slant 6 Racing News and see if they want to have a page or two. I know that some people have a bad taste in their mouth about dues they paid to Jack and never received all their issues of the Slant 6 News. All I can say to them is that I paid my dues and never got all my issues either and going to cost me plenty to have this issue published and mailed out. That's if I can get an old mailing list from Jack. It's not going to be easy to start this thing up again and I can use all the help I can get. Tom, That's great news! I hope you can get the info you need and put an issue out. I too, did not recieve all my issues from Jack, but I will be excited to see the magazine started up again! Perhaps you should start a new post stating that the "Slant 6 News" is going back into publication and ask for whatever you need in that post. I kind of stumbled on to your post here. Please keep us posted, Rick PS. Any idea what time frame you are looking at?? |

My problem is not whether or not I'd want to go, it's more a matter of being able to afford the gasoline these days for long distance trips, and unfortunately, no joke, I can't. If the gasoline were down to around $1.47/gal for the Premium my Plymouth needs, then I'd seriously consider Carlisle. I've been there many years ago for the Fall Show, and liked the accommodations, so, under better circumstances, I'd certainly have no problem with the earlier date that 'Chryslers-At-Carlisle' falls on. |
