ok thanks, so if i need to use one in an A-Body it will have to be narrowed, but it might work just fine in A B-body or dakota then

I got a new subscription called Muscle magazine (thanks honey) they have a three page spread on the 8.8 and interchangeably, decoding rear
ratios, suggested cost from a salvage yard, measurements/dimensions,
disc-drum variations, drivetrain capability and an application guide by year and model. Good info for anyone interested in such a conversion and not Ford inclined. (like me)!

The lastest issue it is, has a 340 Duster on the cover. Complete magazine name is Hemmings Muscle Motors.

The F to F on an A-body axle is 56.5".
