McLeod will soon have an adapter plate for a 5 speed.
I don't know if it's easier/cheaper to get a 5 speed (like from a Mustang), but that would drop your final ratio even lower.

What would the first gear ratio be for a 1976 a833 od tranny for an a body??? (my '76 feather duster).....

1st 3.09:1
2nd 1.67:1
3rd = Direct = 1:1
OD = .73 - .76 depending on who's book you're looking at...
