I prefer retrofitting with Mopar electronic ignition for several reasons, although all the other suggestions will work.

1) I understand Mopar EI, it looks "factory" even in an older car, and its simple.
2) If I'm driving in Bug Tussle, Texas or Eudapimp, Idaho and have an ignition failure, the local auto parts store WILL have a replacement part (this actually applies to HEI also). Just try to get a Pertronix or MSD part in Bug Tussle on a Sunday afternoon :P
3) Its so dang reliable it won't break anyway (same could be said for HEI).

Well, if a Pertronix module failed in Notrees, Texas, you could replace it with a very compact, inexpensive set of points from your road bag. :wink:
