I strongly suggest dutra duals setup. You'll regret headers sooner or later on a street car. your feet would boil, your low end torque is gonna go to hell, in about 3 years you'll end up having to replace all the sistem... that if you don't cook up your transmission...

BTW- I believe you can order Clifford Headers from Laysons Restorations

Thans for all the helpful insight! BTW- I believe you can order Clifford Headers from Laysons Restorations @ http://laysons.com might be quicker than directly through Clifford.

I think that sometimes youÂ´ll tend up to misappreciate what one can get easily. If IÂ´d live up there IÂ´d have bought dougÂ´s setup with no hesitation at all. Customs fellas and pricey income merchandise taxes leaned me the other way.

I have headers, a complete dual setup with a nice custom work made on my car. But I believe that caÃ±ossilen here in argentina is a lil bit too far for being an elegible option for her. This guys has been working with custom headers since '50's and they sure know they way around that. But I've seen clifford headers, and mopar performance headers, and they suck IMHO. If my choices where clifford, MP or dutras I'd go with dutras for sure.

I've had a set of Clifford headers in my '66 for years. They have not rusted out yet, and fit reasonably well. I have even driven it in the winter with no choke as both a 1bbl and a 4bbl. Last time I drove it in the winter it was -7* and it started right up.

Your carb has to be set SUPER ULTRA MEGA rich to be able to do tricks like that. Checked your gas mileage lately? I had a '65 that suddenly became amazingly easy to start and drive from cold, in winter, without using the choke. Also suddenly, at the same time, it started getting less than 10 miles per gallon. The power valve (Holley 1920 piece of garbage) had fallen apart and the carb was dumping massive amounts of fuel into the intake tract at all times.

I have been running clifford headers for a year and a half now with no problems. I do use a manual choke and add heat to the intake in the winter. I get 16.5mpg beating it around town and I got 19.5 for the entire trip to Carlisle and back(it only took one tank to get there, cruise a littl bit, and get home). Plus they were cheap, $75 used at the swap meet at Carlisle.

Eso es importante Argentina Slantsixer, Headers Garcia tambien trabajan desde los 60 y por eso son los mejores en Mexico para autos de los 70, curioso ya que para autos modernos no salen buenos en realidad Sorry for writing in spanish folks.

masomeno lo mismo por aqui, guey, solo que los cabrones de caÃ±ossilen tienen hijos que han mejorado el negocio en los coches nuevos. Para los autos viejos, los pinches viejos. Los hijos han hecho unas maravillas que ni te cuento con cosas como neon, gran cherokees, fiats (puajj que asco) y eso sorry guys, is nice to BS in spanish once in a while too.

I don't know how we got to where we are as a country. But, your Latin American presence is not only welcome, but really cool. I like that Slant Six fans from Finland, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, and the US can hang out. This is what I was hoping from my 4th grade pen pal program, but never got. Remember, though, that most of us Americans are pretty poorly educated in other languages and cultures. ( I say this as a guy who has two degrees in, and works in, Geography) Greg [Edit] I forgot the Aussies and Kiwis. They know lots about how to hotrod the /6. I would love to see what their cruise nights must be like!
