Stock or custom made, lots of work. Right now I´m checking chances on fitting a different car´s rear window/frame. Went trough a parking lot today and hey I was impressed by the number of different rear window designs. Never noticed this before. I will check a wrecking yard to take measures, soon. At the place were I´ll have the car soon, there are a lot of people who work with cars since a long time and will help me with what I´m planning.
What I always disliked a little about lancers is the high rear part of the original roof. Needed for rear passenger headroom, it makes the lancer appear more square (pun intended). I´m thinking about lowering the roof a little at the rear and making the rear window more tilted to have more of a fastback-look. (this will become a 2-seater then. Shut-weld rear doors?). I will check options and looks with a friend of mine, he knows photoshop very well and we will play a little with all the pictures you good people gave me :-) I know this is gonna be a lot of work, but right now I got the place, time, money, motivation, support and the car to build me a pretty ride:-) Thanks for your support,
Chris

Well while watching a lot of Lancer pics, I wondered: Was the 2dr Body stiffened to make up for the missing b-pillar compared to the 4dr ? Has anyone of you seen both types and noticed some difference?

Thanks Chris

These have a 62 Valiant with unbuckled roof and a rearwindow. 2door but still...
Was there about 3 weeks ago.
Bring your own cutter...
It should be some 500 km from you...
I will post some pictures on my website later when I take the time to do this, and also make it more telephonemodem friendly.

Kent,
thanks a lot for the link. This place is about 500miles / 800km away from me. I konw of another car 1000km away in south france. Parts cars are really rare... I have decided to go the custom route. Volvo Amazon rear windows look quite similar. Need to find time to take some measurements and mess with photoshop.
Chris
