I think Team Green had to make a custom adapter way back when so they could see if a powerglide would be better for draggin' than the A-904... Either way I'm sure it wasn't cheap. (I think they also noted that the 904 with the extra shift was slightly faster in the 1/4...been a while since I saw the article...) -D.Idiot |

Mr. Weaver, Yes, why call it a T-bucket? It seems it has become just a generalized term. I've missed out on a couple of Dodge Brothers bodies, so, got to go with fiberglass. I'm even thinking of removing the Ford script ( glassing over it) on the tailgate!!

Speedo........I'm looking at doing the same thing you have in mind, but using slant engine/trans. I suggest you do a mock-up first. I did that just yesterday, before buying the "kit" that's been offered to me, (for a very good price). Bear in mind that the T's were outfitted with a four cylinder engine, and your looking at putting in an engine that is two cylinders longer along with (probably) a longer trans. With my mock-up, it does look do-able, but I will have limited space between the water pump pulley and the radiator, and that's with moving the radiator forward in the frame. I suspect you would run out of room when adding an engine/trans adapter, etc. to the package. You will also have to be careful where you locate the engine (vertically) in the frame. It looks rather close around the oil pump/distributer/frame rail area. Could you adjust and modify everything else to accomodate the combo?....sure, but your costs will escalate accordingly, and I'm sure there's other places on that 'bucket you could better use the dough. All said, I would recommend as the others here. Sell the TH350 to a chevy/GM guy, and use the bucks to have one of those free 904's built the way you want it. Roger |

Since you're going with a 350 trans, why not go with a 200R4. It should bolt up the same. Emmmmm ooooooverdriiiiiive. |

IIRC, the Glide slowed them down 1/2 second. -D.Idiot

Great work. Your going to get more attention with that T/motor than with the same old V8 thing, for sure. I suggest you sign up over at the HAMB board and post your pics.
