yeah, i guess now that you mention it temps would differ quite a bit. what with running the car to op. temp. then adding cool fluids. i guess the temperatures would vary from carline to carline since different designs run at different temps. the engine gaining power from an oilchange would seem sketchy to me. i think the gist of the article pointed towards better lubricants in the trans and diff would help keep internal drag from siphoning off hp that would otherwise make it to the rear wheels. maybe i can find the rag and give it a re-read. in my memory it just seemed an interestin piece.
