I think there is a large difference between "not quite NOS" on the one hand, and actual damage being done to customers' parts, surly "No warranty, bub, you ain't happy with it you can pay us to do it again" attitude and sloppy work on the other hand.

If Mr. G's is really the smalltime shop you describe, then they have no business advertising as if they're a large, quality-controlled operation.

Personally, I don't give a damn if anyone buys from Mr. G's, as I have no dog in the fight. I was merely relating my experience with them, which has been good enough that I will buy there again.

FWIW, I have never seen them advertised as a large, quality-controlled operation. Trash them all you want, based on a couple of "he-said" complaints. I don't know why I said anything good about them in the first place, since negativism always wins the battle.

there is supposed to be an awesome plastic rechroming shop in florida but the name escapes me. supposed to be a bit pricey and a year wait, but 100 point resto quality.
You're not thinking of Custom Coatings Corp, are you?
ok, i poked around a bit and found this fellows website. he's supposed to be very good, but as i said a year wait and a bit more $$$.
http://www.performancecargraphics.com/
but like i said i have not used any one business for this service. just sharing what i found when i was researching things (and have since been in a wreck with the car.) :?
