installed manifolds on monday and been driving round since then with a 18in. piece of straight pipe off the man. and nothing else. VERY loud and clattery but kinda kool sounding, set off a car alarm in my automotive class at the local college. the rear piece is hooked in to the stock exhaust which is really quiet get new exhaust this weekend-1 3/4 from flange to about transmission (wanted 2 1/4 but space is tight) then true 2 1/4 duel exhaust from there back through flowmasters |

I don't think you'll get any benefits from opening the exhaust after the crossmember, unless you're just doing it for looks or to match a pair of mufflers. |

The buzz will diminish greatly with a crossover pipe. |
