5.75" backspace on a 17x8" wheel will fit the front fine. You need a 3/4-1" spacer for the back.

Don't lift the back. I'll stop answering your questions. If the rear springs are wasted then fix them. Leaf type helper springs are better than long shackles. New leaf springs are far and away the best though.

Other than longer shackles, I've never seen an A body lift kit.

How does it work? Is it a helper spring?

Hey not necessarily on a 75 automatically having the 4-1/2 pattern. The
A bodies could be had all the way til the end in 76 with 4 wheel drums, and therefore a 5 on 4 pattern. (Im still aggravated that my dad sold his 76 Feather Duster to my brother instead of me, I was really looking forward to that being my 1st car back around '83 :oops: :evil: ) but looking back, this WAS a 4 wheel manual 9" drum car, with 5 on 4 pattern! I know, as even then I did all the work on dads cars.
