also another trick i just remembered you can get a spring that the inside diameter is the same as you hardline outside diameter and put it on the line where you are going to bend it and it will assist you in bending without kinking

My least favorite job is working under the dash, and/or taking the dash apart. My NEW gas gauge does not work yet, and I have two new gauges to install, a pyrometer, and a new volt meter. These are sitting until I get up the courage to take it apart, even though the new one is designed to come out much easier than the factory one.

A word to the wise was given by Pierre. I put flexible cooling lines in my 70 360 Dart, when it an auto, and I did not put any kind of flare on the joint between the hard line and the flex. On the first really cold morning, about 2 blocks from the house it blew off. I did not know what was wrong at first. Just no power, and smoke all over the place. Fortunately I reached a farm house driveway that was down hill, and I drifted about a quarter mile up to his front door. The nice gentleman there helped me hook things back up, and had trsnmission fluid on hand to refill it. Because it was a farmhouse with a gravel drive, hd did not care that I blew many quarts of tranny fluid all over his driveway. When I got home I put a flare on the hard line so it could not slip off again. Heed Pierre's words. It was the only time that car failed me.
