Sorry, but you can not run fast enough to give me a POS Tquad.
My gut instinct is to agree with you, but this guy, amongst others, seems to like 'em a lot.
I don't see where "this guy" is talking about a Thermoquad. I see him talking about a Quadra Jet but not TQuad. I am interested in reading about his opinion on the TQuad. Can you point to it please.

Er aaah Dan? He said Qudrajet in that linky. I said Thermoquad.

I like both. Got a Qjet on my van right now. It does better on gas than my TQ's. Just never really tried to tune the TQ's. The Qjet is a factory 87 or so 360 van unit.

Qjet is a hundred times better carb than a Tquad. I have spent the time necessary to tune both. Tquads suck.

I ve heard the Tquads had a composit center that had a tendency to warp. I thought that this was really the only problem with them.

The bowls warp, but the O-rings under the main wells deteriorate and a lot of people don't know they are there. When that happens you get really, really bad gas mileage.

The main problem is that to be tuned properly they have about a dozen adjustments that have to be made in order, and to do them properly you really need some special tools.

Qjet you need only stuff that is in your normal tool box.

Never had a problem with either of those 2 things. The warpage was common with the 71 models.
Good luck finding a 71! They are very pricey for cores!

I've only run TQ's on my van so far. Lots of heat in that engine house!

The jet wells fall off. They are glued on from the factory. An easy fix with JB Weld.
