Points and an MSD work great. That is what I had on my old Duster that I sold in 1984. That car ran like a champ, looked great, and got between 22-27 MPG always. It got better mileage than the Toyota I had at the same time. When it was time to take a vacation, we took the Duster because it had a greater cruising range, and gas was sometimes in short supply back then. Sam |

I was thinking of building one with a washer bottle and a carb jet for a high compression N/A 360 in my van. |

Rug, you can do that. An easier way is to use a hyperdermic needle punched into a vacuum line to draw the water in. A number 20 needle is supposed to be a good starting point. If you use carb jets, you will need a metering needle of some kind or it will be way too much water. Sam |

Spearco used to sell a set up. I am thinking of running a set up on my slant as well. Try to max out the economy on the lowest octane gas. And pull max HP and torque from my combo. |

Rug_Please let us know if you do, and how it works out for you. I have been interested in this for years, and have just never done it. I guess I was afraid I would buy the wrong kit, or maybe I just always put it out there in the future somewhere. I know the WWII fighter planes used water/meth injection, and it served them well. It has just never really caught on in the auto community for some reason. Or at least if it has they are pretty quiet about it. You don;t see articles in the car magzines screaming from the headlines like you do for carb, and cam "shootouts". Sam |
