That is what I thought, also, but what about the slant six, cable shifted 727 with the park brake, on E-bay? http://tinyurl.com/25vh7s
I don't see evidence that it's a 727. Looks to me like a 904 out of a '60-'61 slant-6 passenger car. Remember, some people don't know the difference, or call any Torqueflite a "727", like they jabber about the "383 Hemi" they had, way back in the day...

(also remember those park brake-equipped 727s on the Army-surplus late-model slant-6 engines. Those were rod-shift, but they illustrate the existence of "nonstandard" stuff out there.

I agree Dan, looks like early 60s 904 to me.

Yes, lots of 'non-standard' stuff in trucks and special applications.
Rule of thumb with Chrysler was if you wanted it, it would fit, you
paided for it, they would do it......... the Warren truck plant had
a area just for special orders were the truck was pulled off the
line to install your 'special order'. All kinds of things happend there
like the frame extentions on the crew cab pickups so you could
have the 8.5 foot bed on your crew, standard was the 6.5 bed
on the crew (no frame mod with it)....

The late 727 with the parking brake was mostly used when it was felt
that the parking sprag might not be enough hold because of 'full' weight of truck. It is why the trucks did not get a parking sprag system till 65,
long after the cars.....
