Oh the choke!! Like the Hookers or the Clifford Set I had nada. Sorry 2 pumps and it starts no choke. But we do live in Florida. We can come up with choke mount, if needed, Just a little more time with the pencil. Have a good day. Don

Fantastic, now we're moving forward! :-) Put a choke mount plate on the #5 runner, with two threaded holes spaced correctly as per the original, and positioned so one of the electric chokes mounted to the plate will be in the same position as it would be if it were on a stock cast-iron exhaust manifold.

One other thing:

Uhhhh...dude, you've got your carburetor bowl vent hooked up to your PCV valve. That's not just wrong, it's way wrong. Honestly, now, how can you expect me to believe in your manifold magic, without any evidence or proof, when I see something like this?

Allll-righty, then.......Been reading all three, (down to two) threads with interest, and at this point have lost ALL interest.

There has been very reasonable questions asked, and STILL no answers. Me and my "interest" are gone.

Have a nice day, Mr. Twister.

MR. twister:

I don't think anyone here really wants to attack you or anything, we just really need more complete information. Saying it runs X time better than stock is great, but we really need to see a time slip. A dyno test would be even more useful.

The net is filled with false claims and bogus advertising, and I may be a bit cynical now but I really need to have some documented proof. It's not meant as scolding you, I just need to see it before I would consider any money changing hands.

being lighter weight is good, but we need to know what gauge material and type you made these from.

Maybe I missed it, but I still haven't seen a price.

I don't have any problem with you trying to sell your product on here (honestly, I have done it too), but we really need more information.

That little goof alone would lead us to believe that you haven't even had the car running yet. :?

Why are you avoiding direct questions? What do you have to hide?

I have no problem with your claim of more power. However, your avoidance of putting a price on it is odd.

I've seen new exhaust manifolds on here for $105. You say your header is cheaper than that?

Forgive me for being skeptical, but after having Spitfire Harold on here we are somewhat leary.

I do like the design, but I really think slash cutting the ends of the logs is the way to go.

If you want one dyno'd I still have dyno time paid for from the Spitfire fiasco. :x

OK, no price. How about a picture of the pile of the first production run? How many did you have made?

Thanks for posting the pics SSD. Really tubular, man. No, I don't remember much about the 70's.

Here's what I can say about it. From the picture it looks well made. The welds look good and it fits nicely. However, without knowing the type and gauge of the material it's impossible to evaluate whether it's really suitable. Without Dyno runs or at least timeslips, it's impossible to know if it will really help performance. It looks like it might reduce backpressure but exhaust performance depends on so much more than appearance. I really want to believe it works because there aren't enough real parts that work for the slant and anything that fills a void is welcome, but there just isn't enough information yet to know. I'll be waiting to see some real results, specs, and cost.

Post subject:  Mister Twister's cool new header

Welcome to my world, People. I've lived with him for 17 years and don't have to insult him to tell him he's talking in code. Yes, it's irritating, but doesn't warrant insulting him. He's always had trouble expressing himself and even more trouble putting it down on paper.
However, he is extremely intelligent and a remarkable engineer. I'm not real sure how he got his header and his electronics all mangled up in one pot in one of his posts, but he was obviously getting worked up.

We tested his header against my Hooker headers and (I'm not a mechanic or engineer) but the guys said it worked similar. I don't know any numbers but I did notice he didn't have to buy a small starter for his header like I did for the Hookers (hence his direct replacement). Don't quote me but I'm pretty sure he's asking $350 for it including shipping (in the U.S.). BTW we are seeking a patent on it and the patent lawyers have classified it as a header and not a manifold.

For everyone that had patience with MT, I thank you and for those that insulted him, I am sorry for you.

It sounds like he needs a not so silent partner.
