My plan is to tow the Lancer out to the SL6 meet the day after racing it at Sac.
Let's face it, go race, come home and leave the Lancer hooked-up to the wagon, then drag it out to the club meet the next day... works for me.
See you out there!

Yeah, I made it to the semis before losing to Glenn. I won $50.

I have 2.76 gears. I could not get traction all day.

Not a bad day for the first time racing that car.

Thanks. I ran a best of 19.05 in my breakout run against Glenn. I also raced a slant 6 wagon in the third round. I think it was Doc's son.

I was planning on taking a bunch of pictures, but I ended up only taking 2 of my car in the morning, then forgetting to take pictures until the race was over when I remembered.

I only got pictures of myself, and the friend who raced with me. It seemed like I was in the lanes all day and I never had the camera with me.

Well anyway, here are the ones from the morning.

Here are the pics from after the race, loaded back onto the trailer.

Here is my friend's 70 Duster. It has a 318, 727, and 3.23 gears. It ran a best of 13.83.

He won two rounds before having to bail out of the race from getting a flat rear tire in the staging lanes.

Hey doc, how far did you go in the race?

After the race, I had an incident coming off the trailer. My muffler got hooked under a support on the trailer, and it crunched my exhaust, before it was snapped off. It all happened in a matter of seconds, As soon as I heard it hit, it was already off. It got pinned between the car and trailer, so that it took a while to get it out, so I could drive away. Luckily, I had my brother's old Slant 6 from his Duster, which still had the tailpipe. I used the part that goes up to the manifold from his motor, and attached my muffler to it. I hung it a lot higher, so it will clear now.
