I would love to see someone set a record this year with a good old slant six. A guy stopped by the shop the other day and was telling me he knew were I could get a couple of aluminum blocks reasonable. I will believe that when they are in my garage.

If anyone is interested, I have a rebuilt '70ish motor sitting in my shop that I will donate for a turbo project. It is basically a stock motor with the 9-1 MP cast pistons (+.030") and the MP 244 cam. Drool tube head that supposedly has minor porting but stock valves. It was rebuilt a few years ago and has never been in a car since. I think it would probably make a decent motor for a turbo project.

If you are serious about building a turbo and want it, come and get it. :D

I've always thought that our "Turismo 225" project http://slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13947 would be really well suited to have a turbo motor. Instead of the original 2.2 Turbo it will have a 225 Turbo :D . 32 months and counting until we get back to the states... We're looking at getting stationed at Fort Knox, KY if everything goes according to plan.

A custom turbo set-up would put a little more zip into the "daily driver" Dacuda...
