My family is from Cormwall and before we went drag racing we went to Mongomery to watch road racing. We saw Dan Gurney in a birdcage there and Lance Reventlow with the fabulous Scarabs. I even wrote a newspaper article back in '65 or '66 lobbying for interest in making Montgomery a permanent track. (Although it was only published in the Cornwall Local!)
