That was when the drags were sanctioned by NASCAR, and the rule book was a single piece of paper, type written on both sides. They had a couple of road races, up there the years I raced, also.
Wally Dallenback (of indy car fame) raced there with a Buick powered rear engine dragster, called the Candy Cane Special
