Has anyone gone through the trouble of doing a nice set of CAD'd motor plates for the /6? I'd like to have a motor and mid plate on my open wheel car.
I'd also like to talk to some of the guys using a dry sump system.
Thanks!
I make motor plates for slant 6. Go to www.pacefabrication.net and check out "Products" and Cars & Projects. See motor plate installation on a slant 6 Demon

These engine plates are a 'work of art"..if you have ever seen Edd's work (or his new car..Check out his website for start/finish photos) you will know you are getting the best engineered products at a very affordable price. I run one on my new 1962 Valiant and they fit perfect. Go to PACEFABRICATION.NET and check out his slant6 "goodies"

I thought a plate would be the ticket for swapping a slant 6 into my '49. Sent Edd specs and photos and he replied couldn't do it for my application. Not sure why. Anyone else have another source?

That is very odd. In theory, he could cut out the needed holes for the engine in the middle of a 4x8 sheet and let you cut to fit your application.
Surprising since he has basically advertised his work in every reply

Yea- I can't help but think it was a misunderstanding. I have a message out to him now. We'll see. The old flathead in my photo is coming out. The slant six is going in.

If you want to try and make your own all you need to do to start is trace out a water pump gasket on some cardboard and make yourself a template. Cardboard is a lot cheaper to experiment with than aluminum.
