The problem I see with this discussion is that we still haven't seen an actual delivery. These are all photo-chopped. The roof and belt line looks wavy.

I once built a crew cab '61 Ford Unibody in MS paint. And I did actually build most of the truck in my shop before the customer ran out of money. Doesn't mean that Ford ever even thought of building one.

There was a nice orange '64 Valiant sedan delivery at the Santa Paula slant-6 club meet in...ummmmm...I think 1997 or so. Don't remember whose it was, but it was his own work, very nicely done. When I find the pic I took, I'll scan and post it.

Dan,
I remember that orange car. "63 or 64 right?
I think I can find a shot of it somewhere too.
THIS picture though, I know was an MS Paint retouched shot but until I get my pics tomorrow (HOPE FOR THE BEST GANG) at Warhoops it about the best rendering I can find.
Tore into my old Kodak Paper pics pile and I think I can find the last shots I took of it there, but they are just regular photos from a camera.
My brother and I had always thought one of these would make a great parts chaser for our collection, and I'm sure along the way it would have been reborn with at least a hypo 273 or better yet a more than healthy SLANT/6. :D
On another note I wonder if this rare icon of the A-Bodies is worth digging out and saving to somewhere instead of leaving it to the elements, critters and posterity. If I remember the last time I looked at it the Uni-Body had rusted through and its back seemed broken right behind the Tortion Bar rear mounts.
Michigan has some funny laws about salvaging any car back out of a Bone Yard. Many time its extreme age helps though.
Type at you guys later.
Thanks to all again.
Terry

I can almost hear the comments now....... :?
Arrived at Warhoops about 10am Saturday and went back to the area where the 60 - 61 white Valiant 4 door sedan is, turned southwest and began looking for our MICHCON Sedan Delivery. Found the '64 Grand Prix 2 dr HT that was near it but some heavy loader tire tracks led to the former parking spot of our Target Car. Empty space.
That unique tree that grew out of its rear window is still there but the bark is quite messed up. No Car.
Went to the office and asked JR abouit it and here is the skinny:
August this year they were trying to move most of the pre '72 oldies to the northeast area and root out any unrecognizable or too far gone treasures.
When they picked up THIS car the tree was an issue. Their articulated loader wouldn't pick it up high enough to clear the whole tree from the back window so they moved it sideways to get the tree's trunk out of it. Tree held its ground, forks for lifting cars slid to the front and struck the tortion bar/trans cross member. The car slid off. Uni-Body Broke/Bent just ahead of the drivers seat and crashed to the ground. What was left was thrown on the scrap pile for processing.
Scrap steal hit $160+/ton here so anything not solid, or safe to rummage through, they said, was sent away.
Its Gone. :(
One additional note is that the aforementioned '64 Grand Prix is broken in 2 at the Firewall but IT is still there???? :x
I am going through my picture piles and will find the last shots I took of it there last Summer - '06. Buddy of mine has a new scanner so I will get them for the sight. :)
Sorry gang.
Terry

Hamtramack is near Piquette for those such as 7th grade turds. Coach was rarely there (Piquette) 1993-1998. The Michohian word is where this post manifested itself. As someone who was involved with the launch of TNAP as Industrial Engineering Assembly Line Support. The area may not have validated geogpaphic bounds.
