I really like the Fury Wagon. I have the 71 Suburban with a Big Block and really like these cars. I dont have a camera for pics though but where working on a turbo setup for it. There big and weight a hugh amount ( mine was 5225 on the scales without me) but I still have a lot of fun with mine on the street. I want a early A body wagon to go with my collection and I will be done. I dont know what it is about wagons but I have always liked and built them.

Polara Pat, I saw the wagons in your post, one of which you salvaged. I'm needing a tailgate window handle mechanism. My outside tailgate window handle crank is broken on my '67 Belvedere I S.W. Do you know where one is???

I personally don't have one but e-mail my friend Chris Barnes at the Mopar
wagon HQ for the Pacific Northwest. He may have something for you. http://www.wagonsofsteel.com/

This is the only wag of many that I still own. It is a 65 Dart 170 with a 273. It has a 3.23 sg 8 3/4 rear and takes my wife to work five days a week!

Nice to see this archived thread brought back to life. I have a secret wagon to post pictures of but I'm waiting for papers to be signed so I don't jinx the deal.

I love wagons. My first slant six car ever was a 1978 Plymouth Volare wagon I bought from the parents of a guy I knew in high school for $200. It had been sitting outside his house for several years and hadn't been started or moved and was covered with moss.

I changed the oil, put in a few gallons of fresh gas, swapped out the battery, cranked it, and it started right up after 30 eseconds of cranking. 225/904, factory Super Six. Spinnaker white with a light blue interior with the sport buckets. The car also had the light blue vinyl molding on the side.

This is the car that I first started to learn how to work on slants on, and it suffered the most abuse at my ignorant hands. I eventually sold it due to rust out around the windshield and rear hatch I couldn't fix.

I upgraded to silver-painted cop rims, a 76 Volare grille, I spray painted the car Krylon safety-purple, and I covered the sagging cardboard headliner with furry cowprint material. People would either laugh at it or yell it was the ugliest car they had ever seen. I thought it was cool, and was very sad the day I hauled it to the junkyard. Predictably, we named it "Pinky".

I went back and salvaged the k-frame for the 76 Volare sedan I obtained later, but I really wish I could have kept this car.

Alas, these are the only pictures I have of it, but I did win third place and best station wagon at a couple Seattle SSCOA meets (where I was one of three and the only wagon, respectively  )

Don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, but I can't help myself, it's a sickness.
How do you hide a car from a significant other?
...No regrets, Right?
